I'm exploring the thinking of the new generation of women who are just getting interested in feminism, along with those who aren't quite sure what they think on that subject. The experiences of women today are very different from what was happening to those of us who were part of the women's liberation movement in the 1970s or those of the first wave of feminism in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The suffragettes wanted the vote; women's libbers faced job challenges, like being asked at EVERY job interview, "Do you type?" and being told, for jobs we were qualified to do, "We don't hire women to do that." In this book I am taking a look at the current state of feminism.

What's my book about?

I want to explore the thinking of the new generation of women who are just getting interested in feminism, along with those who aren't quite sure what they think on that subject. The experiences of women today are very different from what was happening to those of us who were part of the women's liberation movement in the 1970s. We faced the challenge of being asked at EVERY job interview, 'Do you type?' It would be interesting to check out the reasons more women than men become book bloggers, but that's not where I'm going with this book I've decided to write. What intrigues me is the community building going on among these women.
